HOW TO DEAL WITH DISAPPOINTMENTS AND BAD NEWS. A LESSON FROM JOHN 11.
Worship is a deep thing. Worship is an acknowledgement and declaration of God as a stronger and Lord supreme over all other forces and situations that cause us heart breaks and frustration. Worship elevates us and makes us united with the divinity and heightens our expression of the power of God’s immortal nature. We become one with the almighty, all powerful God in worship.
If we go into worship after receiving a bad news, a disappointing report, and we go into God’s presence and cry there and sing there till our hopes and light rises again, what we have done is to attain a level of immortality, we begin to get into a place where nothing can shake us, because when we worship instead of worrying we make a statement in the realm of the spirit to the situation that “I choose to bow in surrender to my Lord and master not you, and he commands my destiny, He commands my rising”.
Worship brings the resurrection power into effect in our lives and we grow in emotional, psychological and spiritual strength so that what bordered us the last time cannot border us again this time.
Worship strengthens the spirit and the soul where the emotions reside and make you a tough and unshakeable person, increasing your capacity to handle pressure and walk by faith in difficult situation.
Don’t go into depression and, overeating and, drowning yourself in movies or some other bad habits when you are hit with bad news and disappointment, rather go straight and shut the door and fall in God’s presence, sing yourself to sleep even if you can’t pray… don’t indulge yourself in destructive habits, go and worship and sleep off, you’d be better for it, and if you wake up and still feel down worship continues till you see the light.
Jesus wept and worshiped God at the tomb of Lazarus and the dead came back to life.
