BIBLE TEACHINGS WITH JOEL OSOBA
Lazarus had not died when Jesus was informed that he was sick, but Jesus said the sickness is not unto death, by the time Jesus got to meet Lazarus, Lazarus was dead for 4 days and buried.
Now this is for you, has it ever happened to you that you prayed about a matter and God gave you a good promise about it and by the time the matter unfolds it turns out worse than what you expected. Something like God told you “I will go before you and make the crooked path straight and make a way where there seems to be no way” then you got to the place and the people there told you, “no road, road was blocked last week”.
It sure can be disappointing, crushing at times, baffling and confusing, we start asking questions.
But today let’s learn from Jesus’ attitude, the change in the physical appearance of the situation didn’t make him lose hope and faith and grip of the word he got before he heard the bad news, he simply gave thanks to God that God had heard him and he always hears him and his word is still binding even though the situation had morphed, he spoke God’s word and acted on the initial word and Lazarus came back to life.
A change in the situation is not a change in the mind of God or his promises.
So friends, a change in the situation is not a change in the mind of God or his promises, hold on to his word and let it be your reality because of of the situation will change to meet God’s demands, he knew the end from the beginning before he spoke, therefore stay with him, stay with his word and get his answers to life.
Shalom.
