FINDING FATHERHOOD – SINGALONG

It’s been a while since my last post on Finding Fatherhood. Baby J, Mama Wifey, and Papa Me are doing great. Right, let’s get to the inspiration behind today’s post. Do you know that babies can bring out the artist in you?  To date, I must have composed several songs, but to drive home today’s message, I’ll leave us with three. They are broadly classified into the Logical, the Semi-logical, and the What-the-heck-am-I-singing categories.

The Logical

These types are sometimes the product of acting. The Eureka moment for this track (lol) occurred after I took Baby J outside the house for some sightseeing and it was time to return inside. It goes like this:

Do we go back inside?

Inside, inside

Do we go back inside?

Inside, inside

Do we go back inside?

Do we go back inside?

Do we go back inside?

Inside, inside

The Semi-Logical

If you listen closely to songs in this category, you can make some sense of their purpose. I give you Master Yoshy:

Oh, Master Yoshy,

Oh, Mister Yoshy,

Oh, Master Yoshy,

Yoshy Boom

Semi-logical right?

The What-The-Heck-Am-I-Singing

As a rule of thumb, songs in this category make no sense to you the composer but gets your baby cooing in joy especially if it’s followed by dramatic expressions.

Publy bum

Po po blim bum bli boom

I’ll bet some people are laughing and saying: ‘This guy has gone nuts.’. My response to them is: “Your time will soon come.’
