INSIGHTS ON LIFE

Mental Demons Form in Silence

In loneliness are some demons born which undermine the happiness and progress of the individual. Fears, doubts, a diminishing of a sense of worth by mistakes and regrets, however little or great they are, and the hopelessness which reality inform, grow in the mind of the individual like bedfellows. These bedfellows get their life from the attention and thought given to them by the individual – they are born by thought and get a life of their own when the individual accepts their reality.

Why is it that it is in loneliness that these demons grow? It is because, in the place of silence, life is born. By thought energy. All things in life are born in silence and thought is the moulder of things.

Loneliness is not sickness. Though it is one thing to be alone and another to be lonely. Aloneness is the quiet time you seek and no time is it most precious than when you want to be away from the noise and distractions around you. Loneliness is the condition of having no companion to share your precious moments with and the feeling of misery that attend to such a condition. The lack of companionship, when it is not well-managed, thrusts some individuals into feelings of depression, need, and anxiety. These bring on negative thoughts about the self that starts little and grows big, gathering more of such negative thoughts from the past and giving birth to new ones.

Periods of aloneness have more of a positive character but periods of loneliness are generally negative in their character. The work here is to know if one is alone or lonely and to address both conditions appropriately. If alone, build on the moment with self-reflection with the aim to find new truth about yourself to help you advance. If lonely, guard your mind against negative thoughts because they are sure to come and you can feel them like hot air around you.

Now, keep this in mind. Much of your time is alone time, because most of the time, you are alone in your head. Your thoughts are wet mud in your hands and they form the thing you rub them on long enough. Do not form your own demons because you are not aware of the sentinels of negative thoughts crawling up the empire of your mind.
