A WINNER
I’ve tasted the sways of life
Like a rollercoaster,
It’s a ride of ups and downs.
I’ve stood with death
And my lungs ran empty of breath
I’ve fought battles
That left me bruised and broken
Savoring the taste of pain,
As my life flashed by.
Every conception of hope was miscarried
At the slightest glimpse of breakthrough
But I pressed on.
Drowning in the ocean of struggles and hard times
I fought for my life!
And in the crushing,
In the falling,
In the endless defeats,
I rose to my feet.
A winner!
