POEMS WITH RUKENNY

COLD

Hearts of flesh
Now made of stones
So hard
And black as coal
We are possessed by selfish spirits
A crave to make all our own.
For this,
We have turned away
From our brothers
And our sisters.

Cold hearts
That can freeze one to death
Just to redeem a debt
Like drunkards,
We are intoxicated by the quest for power
We do anything for the love of money
For this,
We run after money.
We run after power.
We run after fame.

We want our names
To be hung high like flags
And our praises sang like national anthem
Respected and Saluted
But this race is for the fittest
What length can you go for money and power?
Can’t
you see we are losing touch of ourselves?
All for money
All for power.
We are cold.

What happened to the true bond of men?
