POEMS WITH RUKENNY

You reopened a chapter,

In a book clothed in dusty brown coat,

Forgotten and abandoned,

Somewhere in my heart.

That book is my pain!

You remind me of a blast from the past.

It’s the story of what I am now,

And why you might never know how,

I became this sour,

Nursing an unending sore.

I’m drained of sweetness,

Left of nothing but sourness.

I love you too much,

To have tasted such.

I just can’t love you back

You are worth more than this black.
