INSIGHTS ON LIFE
This is something we should have in our mind always.
When we rely on the acceptance of others to determine our self-worth, we build our lives on shaky foundations, always seeking other’s reports of us to assure ourselves of personal progress. It becomes like you cannot be anything other than what others approve that you are.
It is seen all around us that those who commit to living life in this way often compromise their authenticity to keep other people happy. They stand in their way to authentic living and fail to see themselves living under other people’s shadows.
However, as we make peace with ourselves and our imperfections, we become less reliant on others to validate and approve of us.
Self-acceptance and self-validation are the feet of our lives. We must continue to accept ourselves, accept all the flaws we keep discovering and accept all the strength that we find even if they scare us.
Once you build your self-confidence without the approval of others, you become a dangerous traveler on the road of life. Circumstances and other people cannot challenge you. Your power is self-generated and you can become better and better as you keep at the task of being improved.
A quote says Man’s main task is to give birth to his true self.
This statement suggests we are all work in progress; which is only individually confirmed when we are honest with ourselves and identify the void in us and start addressing it.
If years are added to your life and more strength is given to you, you will be amazed to see that you can be more and do more, like an unquenchable fire.
So, become religious about becoming a better version of yourself, on your own terms.
Get motivation and inspiration from others, but grow on your terms, genuinely, uniquely. And see that you inspire someone else to grow.
